This pure, traditional castile soap bar is crafted from the purest thyme honey and cold pressed, extra virgin olive oil from the island of Crete. Both these ingredients have been used in skincare by the Minoans and other parts of Greece since antiquity. We use our grandmother's recipes that have been past down from generation to generation with only the purest, quality ingredients to cleanse and moisturise even the most sensitive skin. This Castile soap is so gentle it can be used on the face, body and hair. No essential oils are included in our Minoan range.

We make all of our natural soaps in small batches and cure Minoan, our pure olive oil soap for at least 6 months to ensure you receive the gentlest, most effective bar possible. We use pure organic, wildcrafted and natural or nature identical ingredients, extracts and oils that may differ in colour and texture based on season and region they are harvested from.
As a result, this product may vary in colour, texture and fragrance from batch to batch. This does not impact the efficacy of the product and each contains the same amount of active ingredients.

Minoan / μινωικό was an early Greek civilization of the Bronze Age (around 2000 BC), living on the island of Crete in the Mediterranean Sea named after the mythical King Minos, a son of Zeus.
The legend of the Minotaur and the labyrinth located in Knossos – the bull-headed monster slain by the hero Theseus was a myth that originated from the Minoans.
Minoan civilization was remarkable for its great cities and palaces, its extended trade and its use of the earliest form of writing - Linear A, a symbol based written language extremely important for Greek linguistics. It represent the oldest known Greek dialect, elements of which survived in Homer's language as a result of a long oral tradition of epic poetry.
Our hero ingredient in our Minoan range is Cretan olive oil, home to ancient Greek Olive trees, known for producing superior Greek olive oil - the Mediterranean’s liquid gold. With 5,000 years of knowledge, each Greek olive is hand picked, sorted, and cold pressed to conserve its vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids. The Minoans used this olive oil over 4,000 years ago in skincare and now its crafted with intention for you to use today.
Ritual
Use water to create a silky lather to wash hands, body, face + hair and rinse thoughrougly with water. This natural soap will gently cleanse and hydrate - no need to moisturise unless you want to.
Do not leave this natural bar of soap sitting in a pool of water or an area that will constantly get wet as it will soften prematurely. If you keep this soap dry between uses it will last a long time
