Ancient / αρχαΐα, refers to the Hellenes who lived 700 - 323 B.C. Our Greek yogurt face mask is named ‘Ancient’ due to the ingredients used - the same as those used by ancient Greeks (Hellenes).
The three main ingredients ancient Greeks used to promote healthy and an attractive complexion were olive oil, honey and yogurt. Homer extensively described skincare routines as part of spiritual rituals in the Iliad.
Honey and yogurt were used as part of anti-aging preparations because of their antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and honey also helped with certain types of acne.
Greek yogurt, a natural moisturiser which contains probiotics, proteins, vitamins, and minerals, made it great as an anti-aging mask and to revitalise dry skin and work wonders in cases of eczema.
Wild tea from Mt Olympus, dittany from Crete and Mastic gum from Chios where also ingredients used in skincare since antiquity.

How to Use
Using clean fingers scoop a teaspoon-sized dollop of Greek yoghurt mask onto clean, dry skin. Leave on for 10-15 minutes and rinse off thoroughly with warm water and natural sea sponge if available. Use 1-3 times a week, as needed.
Can also use as an overnight treatment or sleeping face mask when required.
